INSTITUTIONAL SPACES

Designing Purpose-Driven Spaces That Shape Learning, Healing, and Innovation

Apex Hospital (Cardio Wing), New Delhi

Project Overview

Apex Hospital approached us to design their advanced cardiology wing, with a vision to provide both operational efficiency and patient comfort. Located in New Delhi, the facility needed spatial zoning, hygienic material selection, and a flow-optimized layout for doctors, staff, and patients.

We delivered a thoughtful solution  creating a space that supports high-functioning medical service while maintaining calm, healing aesthetics.

Transforming Spaces: See the Evolution of Design

Institutional spaces evolve with need, regulation, and user behavior. Our approach blends spatial logic, material performance, and experiential design  ensuring that every layout, corridor, and service room supports the people who rely on it.

The transformation from a clinical shell to a humanized healthcare setting is visible in our before-and-after transitions.

Design Philosophy

For healthcare environments like Apex, clarity and circulation are paramount. We used natural lighting, muted color palettes, and acoustic insulation to reduce stress and promote well-being. The zoning respects sterile vs. non-sterile areas while improving nurse accessibility and visitor navigation.

In educational and corporate institutions like Vidyanext and Ayurvet, our design balances focus with openness allowing for collaborative learning and administrative efficiency.

Material Strategy

Durability, hygiene, and compliance guided all material choices. Antibacterial wall cladding, anti-slip flooring, and concealed service ducts were used throughout. We followed fire safety, HVAC zoning, and accessibility standards per NABH and educational norms.

  • Walls: Vinyl-wrapped panels, moisture-resistant paint

  • Flooring: Anti-skid tiles, acoustic carpet (in non-clinical zones)

  • Ceiling: Modular grid with concealed lighting

  • Tech: Network cabling, data zones, surveillance-ready points

Whether it’s a hospital wing, training facility, or campus development our institutional projects are designed to serve, support, and uplift their users.
